WALK CIRCUMSPECTLY

A letter to our Sons

Ephesians 5:

Walk in Love

5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in Love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For [a]this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.

Walk in Light

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the [b]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather [c]expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the Light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore, He says:

“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”

Walk in Wisdom

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.

The news is insidious with deceit and deception. The global elite treats us as sheep to slaughter, grooming us to their will, ideologies, and future vision of a one-world government and commerce. Today’s news is foretold in scripture. Yet the true Christian remains in Hope and without concern, for the faithful Christian knows who wins the battle for the souls of humankind. I know this seems beyond reason and impossible to comprehend, but the prophecies within scripture have proven to be perfect accuracy. This essay is not about eschatology (the study of Biblical prophecies). It is a simple guide to living through the perils that come. In 2 Timothy 3:1, Paul addresses our time: But know this, that in the last days, perilous times shall come. Paul directs us on how to live in these challenging times, noting: But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, and All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

I am not a trained theologian, but my Lord gave me Wisdom and Wisdom’s outcropping, Discernment for the truth; Discernment is the most excellent sword we can have for these difficult times. I thank God every morning for opening my eyes and heart to the truth.

I have gone to several scriptures to understand how to survive the difficult road ahead—God has given us the survival roadmap, such as the verses that opened this essay in Ephesians 5—walk in Love, walk in the Light, walk in Wisdom.

I am not without fault of faith; today’s news has caused me great concern, and I have worried. Worry is proof of a lukewarm faith in Jesus and our salvation. Jesus repeatedly told us to worry not and live the life he has made as an example and taught in His parables. The essential virtues of a Jesus-filled Hot faith are Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—Galatians 5:22-23. Why do these virtues cause such drama and resultant anger from a nonbeliever? It is evident to me that a world filled with these fruits of God’s Spirit, and these virtues, would be a wonderful world as God designed.

To our Sons, I pray that you seek the truth with an open mind and heart—check out Matthew 5, 6, and 7. Then read Matthew 24. Hopefully, you will begin to see the way, the truth, and the life to live now.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

John 14:6
