“AND GOD SAID”

God spoke Time and Space into existence.

GENESIS 1

The Beginning

1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

War broke out in the garden. We have always been at war. The fighting has raged around us every day of our lives, our forefather’s lives, and will rage on after we are dust. Humanity has become tempered and groomed from thinking about metaphysical warfare, how beautiful good is, and how frightening, deceptive, and horrific evil is. Our faith has become so superficial based on what we see, touch, and smell. Yet we trust in ideas and laws such as the idea and law that one driver stays in the opposite lane as the other or that if I drop a rock, it will fall, it is wrong to murder someone, and the Sun will rise again in the east. So, we do believe in things we cannot see, feel, or smell. Why is believing in God and the spiritual battle around us so bewildering?

We have all been in a dark place, and suddenly, the hair stands on our neck, or we sense something behind us and turn suddenly to see nothing. In scripture, 2 Kings 6, God proves we are never outnumbered in the spiritual war, only if we choose to be and give in to the hopelessness of evil.

2 Kings 6:

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my Lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.

16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Why do I write about this on a glorious spring’s morning? God led me to it in Texas while photographing the Total Eclipse in witness to God’s Glory in the heavens. It came as a kind invite from a lifelong friend who lived in the middle of the path of totality. One evening during my visit, I asked if they had seen the movie ‘Nefarious,’ and they had not. I played it, and suddenly, my friend leaped from his chair and asked, “Why am I watching this?” To remind all believers how evil, insidious, deceitful, and nefarious satan’s evil is. The following day, we watched the heavens moving as the moon blocked the light of the Sun from us for just four minutes and twenty-four seconds.

Few want to discuss the horrific spiritual battles surrounding us always, the struggle for the souls of humanity, the reason Jesus came to defeat the devil satan forever. You see, God knows, true believers know, even satan knows that God wins this war. Satan’s goal is to hurt God by capturing the souls of as many as he can.

This ‘Spiritual Battle’ is becoming more apparent in this world of see, taste, smell, and touch ways. God has been exposing evil and revealing truth ever since the fall of man. Today, 2024, God’s spiritual battle is front page news. For the believer, we see the biblical, end-times prophecies of Revelations, Ezekiel 38, 2 Peter 3:3-4, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24, and John 14. he realized in current events.  The method satan uses is simple and repeatable to deceive God’s children, using everything possible to change the mind of man by redefining what God spoke into existence. The great deceptions started at the tree of knowledge of good and evil and have never stopped.

Deception wanders the earth in search of the weak and defenseless, redefining God’s creation; he hates that God loves man, and satan is jealous of man’s position in eternity. I noticed this morning the move to redefine time from BC and AD, the year of the Lord, into b.c.e. and c.e. common era. I laugh because it is just changing letters. The truth is that what separates the letters is the same—Christ Jesus as fully man and fully God came to earth to save all of us.

Most insidious of satan’s attack and deception is upon the children, from abortion, taking away their life to stealing their identities as boys and girls. Stealing identity is satan’s way of redefining God’s intention and plan for humankind. The story of Daniel is about evil intent to rob the identity of man: changing diet, changing names, even belief and worship of the one true God.

The identity battle is satan’s weapon, and he uses it always. Today, it starts in the classroom. Teachers are grooming children to be something they are not and thinking it is kind, good, and the right thing to do when the child is in the middle of exploding hormones—then taking the children away from parents to complete the grooming process.

Identity robbery has happened in our recent history, in our assimilation of the Native Americans. We took their children, cut their hair, changed their diet, eliminated their language, changed their spiritualism, and robbed them of their heritage. America is in the possession of evil; we have eliminated God from schools, churches, government, and all ways of life. But churches, parents, schools, and the government stay silent on the brazen attacks on our Godly worldview. Evil is ugly. We turn a blind eye to it because evil is nefarious. We bury our heads in the pleasures of this world when satan himself pipes the pied-pipers tune to take the children away.

When, lo! as they reached the mountain-side,

A wondrous portal opened wide,

As if a cavern was suddenly hollowed;

And the Piper advanced, and the children followed,

And when all were in to the very last,

The door in the mountain-side shut fast.

Robert Browning, The Pied Piper of Hamelin: A Child’s Story

The time to turn our march to madness, to turn from wicked ways and repent, is Now! We need to suit up in the armor of God, pick up a sword, become watchmen, and enter the battle. Pray God will open your eyes so you may see.
